Casey Likes currently stars as J.D. in the hit Off-Broadway revival of Heathers: The Musical at New World Stages and is best known for originating the role of Marty McFly in Back to the Future: The Musical on Broadway!
Casey, along with Marc Tumminelli and a Broadway Workshop musical director, will work with each student on audition technique and song interpretation in this special one-day master class. We will focus on giving students the opportunity to bring their audition and performance skills to the next level. Students will break down their song material with one-on-one coaching in a fun-filled class setting. Students will also have the opportunity to be part of a Q&A with Casey and the Broadway Workshop team.
This program is limited to only 12 students total.
What you will need for this workshop: Students will need sheet music for 1 or 2 musical theater or pop/rock audition song in the correct key for this workshop. We will only be focusing on ONE 16/32 bar musical cut in this class. Accompanist/Musical Director will be provided. Students can sing anything that brings them joy and that they feel comfortable singing! Students will not need a photo/resume for this class.

MORE ON OUR GUEST TEACHER: Casey Likes
Casey Likes is an actor, singer, and filmmaker who is currently starring as Jason “J.D.” Dean in the Off-Broadway revival of Heathers: The Musical at New World Stages. He is best known for his back-to-back leading roles on Broadway, originating the character of William Miller in Almost Famous and starring as Marty McFly in Back to the Future: The Musical. His screen credits include portraying Gene Simmons in the biopic Spinning Gold and starring in the MGM horror film Dark Harvest. In addition to his performing career, Likes is an award-winning director of short films and recently directed and starred in a 2025 regional production of Spring Awakening in his hometown of Chandler, Arizona.
