We are thrilled to welcome back Broadway Casting Director, LINDSAY LEVINE of Tara Rubin Casting for another master class with us! Tara Rubin Casting’s projects include the Broadway productions of School of Rock, Aladdin, and Les Miserables as well as many new musicals in development.
Lindsay will personally work with each student on audition technique and song interpretation. This master class will focus on giving actors the opportunity to bring their audition and performance skills to the next level and how to better connect to their audition material! Lindsay has the amazing ability to inspire students as well as help them becoming the most fun, polished performer possible.
Students will also have the opportunity to have a Dance Workshop with Broadway Guest teacher Thayne Jasperson (Broadway’s Hamilton, Newsies & Matilda) in the final section of this workshop.
STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE 1 or 2 MUSICAL THEATRE SONGS PREPARED FOR THIS WORKSHOP. Please make sure your sheet music is in the correct key. Students will also need jazz shoes or sneakers for the dance workshop.
LINDSAY LEVINE (Tara Rubin Casting) is currently a Casting Director who has found her home behind the scenes. Selected upcoming projects at Tara Rubin’s office include:The Bandstand (Paper Mill Playhouse), Carmen (Olney Theatre), Dear Evan Hansen (Second Stage/Arena Stage), Living on Love(Asolo Rep) Recent Projects include: Can Can (Papermill Playhouse), Here Lies Love (Public Theatre/London), The Merry Widow (The Met).
Broadway Associate/Assistant Credits: School of Rock, Bullets Over Broadway, Aladdin, Scandalous, The Heiress, One Man Two Guvnors (US Casting), Ghost, Jersey Boys, Billy Elliot, Mary Poppins, Mamma Mia; Yale Repertory Theatre, and numerous readings and workshops. Prior to joining Tara Rubin’s office in 2010, Lindsay was the Children’s Casting Assistant for the Broadway, Chicago, and National Touring companies of Billy Elliot. Member of CSA since 2013.
